Giffin Grip Mini™
FAQs & TROUBLESHOOTING
My Sliders are getting jammed! What can I do?
If you bought a Giffin Grip Mini™ prior to 2024, you may need to install a “Bumper Stop”. This fixes the main jamming issue. Order a Bumper Stop free of charge here and use the discount codes: BSP1 & FreeShip
Another reason your sliders may get jammed is the buildup of dust, clay, or other debris. We recommend cleaning both the sliders and tracks regularly to ensure smooth operation.
Can I use a Giffin Grip Mini™ if I don't have Bat Pin holes?
The Giffin Grip Mini™ relies on bat pins to attach to the wheel. If you do not have bat pin holes they would need to be installed in order to use the Giffin Grip Mini™. There are three sets of holes: 1) 10” apart (U.S. standard dimension), 10" apart (metric bat pin size, common in Europe), and 3) a smaller set of holes specifically for the Shimpo Aspire.
*Note: The Giffin Grip Model 10® attaches to the sides of your wheel head and does not rely on bat pins in any way.
My Button Lock isn't working, do I need a replacement?
If your Button Lock is slipping or getting stuck we are happy to send a replacement! Order a Button Lock here and use the discount codes: MBL1 & FreeShip
What is the difference between the Giffin Grip Mini™ and the Giffin Grip Model 10®?
The Giffin Grip Mini™ is our latest rendition of the tried and true tool! It is much thinner which means the trimmings stay in the splash pan; it attaches to bat pins making it ready to go right out of the box; and it will center and hold tiny pieces as small as a wine cork! The main reason to choose the Giffin Grip Model 10® is for trimming larger pieces over 9.5” (24 cm) in diameter.
Is there a Giffin Grip Guarantee?
